Starting from school education in 1900 Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS) has been flourished as an institution of higher education. Now, the institute offers a wide range of courses from humanities to technology offering degrees in undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate level.

BITS have been declared as deemed to be university by the Government of India.

Birla Institute of Technology & Science is popularly known as BITS, was established by the country’s well known industrialist G.D. Birla, who took part actively in the freedom struggle and a close associate of Mahatma Gandhi.

BITS Pilani has its campuses located in Goa, Hyderabd, at Knowledge Village, Dubai in UAE.

Courses offered by the BITS has bee classified as integrated first degree, higher degree and doctoral programme.
